The Windeward Bound Trust Youth Leadership Challenge is a working partnership Rotary. This program promotes understanding, inclusiveness, and community by bringing together 18 young people of vastly different backgrounds for a ten-day voyage aboard the STV Windeward Bound, and giving them the opportunity to connect and grow with one another in both the short and long term.
My Story
I’ve recently been selected to take part in an amazing sailing adventure on the Windeward Bound, a tall ship that travels around Australia. I will be doing a 10 day leg, from Beauty Point to Hobart. I have only just discovered sailing through school, but I’ve completely fallen in love with it. This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for me to challenge myself, meet new people, learn more about sailing.
The voyage teaches teamwork, leadership, and how to live and work together as a crew on the ocean. I’m really excited (and a bit nervous), but I know I’ll come back more confident and independent.
To be able to go, I need to raise nearly $3000 to cover the cost of the trip. If you can support me, even just a little bit, I would be really grateful. Thanks so much for helping me make this dream happen!
