Celebrate the grand opening of the Australian Wooden Boat Festival with an exclusive cruise aboard Windeward Bound. Join us as we set sail with a fleet of magnificent vessels, bidding welcome to the festival in a spectacular maritime parade on the Derwent River. Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere as we navigate alongside the arriving boats. Be part of this unique opening and witness the festival’s grand beginning from the comfort of the Windeward Bound.
All proceeds support the Windeward Bound Trust's youth development and educational programs.
The ticket price includes a hot breakfast, a light lunch and bottomless tea, coffee, and milo. We also welcome guests to bring their own beer, wine, or non-alcoholic beverages.
A bus will collect you from the Brooke Street Pier Bus stop at 7.00am, You should board the ship at Woodbridge around 7.30. We will then sail up the Derwent River and into Hobart, berthing at Elizabeth Street Pier. Disembarking at approximately 2:45pm.
